Off Again...

...to London this time to see my long-term Parisian partner-in-mischief Lady J marry A. before setting off to embark on a new life together in Cape Town. Originally colleagues in London, then friends and then - until last week - neighbours here in Paris. Just think how much DIRT we have on each other by now!! :-) This photo, taken a few years ago at the FĂȘte de la Musique always makes me smile. We were off our trolleys but she still looks fresh as a daisy which is more than can be said for the man on the left - arf! I remember her leaving me that evening with a gentleman who I kept insisting "could have been a model" and snapped at every opportunity, despite his protests that he really wasn't very photogenic. As it turned out, he was right but I didn't realise THAT until the next morning. We've sat in bars until the waiters bought us drinks, we've been to rugby matches and tennis tournaments, we've dragged each other out when we were feeling blue, we've shared DVDs, books, music and confidences. Oh, how we've laughed. And helped each other home more times than I care to remember. I shall miss her desperately but a) I know this wedding is going to be a GREAT do and b) guess where I'm planning on going later this year for a little holiday? ;-) See ya Monday.

Ooh, was it fun? I heard from one of my work contacts that it was a VERY grand affair...hope it was worth missing Eurovision for.

Col, it was excellent matey, and luckily Micke and Sandrine kept me up to date with the Eurovision voting via texts. There was some truly terrifying "Wedding Dancing" going down, too. Nardac, I'm back and I'm lowering the drawbridge, hon xxxxx
