Humdrum

Walking home last night after MarkyD's Corsican birthday dinner (yummy), whom should I run into by the ice-cream store but the Drumming Philosopher and his delightful friend the Popstar. "Hey, how are you, been up to anything fun?" I enquired. "Well, I was in the U.S. and then I've just got back from Norway, where I hung out with some great living philosophers who took me swimming on an island, then I'm off to Amsterdam this weekend with the band, then I'm doing some gigs in the south of France with another band, and then I'm moving to Berlin," the Philosopher replied. "And how's your band doing?" I asked the charming Popstar. "Great, we should get signed this week and then the album will be coming out shortly." Ah. Suddenly, my week's agenda (a Grey's Anatomy marathon viewing session and karaoke on Thursday) seemed a little, well, how can I put it? Yes, humdrum. ::sigh::

I know how you feel, I'm sitting in bed eating rice and tuna and watching ballet on youtube. See you at the picnic later, the sun has got his hat on.
