Boring and bedridden

Would you believe it, dear reader? Rhino75 has done his back in. No, not doing that, before you ask. But it is most alarming. Yesterday, it took me 20 minutes to get to the phone (though, obviously, it had stopped ringing by the time I got there). Could old age finally be knocking on the door of Rhino75 Towers? Will I have to install a bath that opens along the side and a stair-lift? Anyway, am confined to quarters with a tube of the French equivalent of Ralgex and a pack of painkillers, and living on porridge. Very dull. Luckily, I bought some DVDs in England to keep me amused while Kitty takes advantage of my lack of mobility and sits on the bed, biting my arm. However, secretly I'm quite glad as it gives me an excellent excuse to avoid seeing the rather-too-keen Mr. K. I think being ill makes me nasty.

Sorry to hear about your back. Take it easy. It's bad about Kitty biting you but she can be forgiven as she is cute. Thanks for her picture again.

Love Ed

Poor rhino. Darling, you must apply moist heat to loosen it up and some Gay Ben, I mean Ben Gay. Do you have that over there. Well, I hope you had a lovely trip and it is so unfortunate to be down now, well, it's never a good time to be down unless that's where you wanna be. Cheers and have a drink on me!

Would "gramps" feel better with some Werther's Originals perhaps? Or would you have trouble with "that sticky wrapper", as the ad - so smuttily - used to put it?

Take care old son! Keep warm, lots of nice cups of tea etc. Love'n'hugs through the chunnel. Col

Thanks Ed, she may look cute but it's like "Misery" with whiskers! Babs darlin', thanks for the medical advice. It IS getting better but it just seems to be taking sooo long. Sis, I was fine until I got home, so it must have been carrying my bags up and down in the metro, or something - but as I said, don't worry, I'm on the mend. And Col, haha! Thanks matey, and I hope YOU'RE fully recovered from your food poisoning. Love to you all!!

I wonder why nobody seems to react on this mysterious Mr. K. Rhino, the full story! Please!

Ah, 'tis a tawdry tale, and not one I particularly wish to recount here, Micke ;)

oh yeah right Rhino, and that's why you mentioned it in your post. You little devil, I expect to hear the whole story on Friday night though...

Micke, there are some people who read the blog who DO know about Mr. K - that was for them!!

Until you tell me who Mr K is I REFUSE to feel sorry for you!

Oh, alright then, I do feel mildly sympathetic.

So I can assume that this Special Mr. K is not a cerel brand then?

Haha, very good Rob! But, before we all get carried away, I won't be seeing Mr. K again if I have any say in the matter. He's a very nice guy but not for me.

Have a speedy recovery, and all. I've had sciatica which is very unpleasant, and that was before I was old and decrepit.

Keep taking the painkillers and using Deep Heat (I love those 1980's dance compilations, me ...)

Hope Mr K. doesn't find your blog!

Thank you Betty! I am a little concerned that this might be sciatica, in fact, which would be very annoying. In the meantime, I am listening to Bananarama's "Greatest Hits" and re-watching "The Lord of the Rings". Thank goodness for WiFi and small computers - I can almost cook a meal without having to get up. I am also eagerly awaiting your next competition :))

betty has competitions? I'd better go investigate!
