Portrait of an Artist

So, Noodle's been banging on about his new artistic "coup de coeur" (he's French and, therefore, allowed to have those), namely one Philippe Pasqua. And, having checked his stuff out on the internet (try this link on artnet), we decided to go and see some "in the flesh" as it were. Unfortunately, the gallery we visited isn't planning to do another show dedicated to PP until September 2006, but they did have this painting on show. As this is a *ahem* family blog, if you want to see the whole thing, you'll have to click on the photo. I have to say I was rather blown away by it, and it definitely made me want to see more. The only other piece by him they seemed to have was a skull sprayed gold with black butterflies on, which sounds a bit gothic, but was in fact rather effective and not at all Marilyn Manson. Anyway, I was impressed enough to want to bring him to a different, if not neccessarily wider, public - Support your local artist!!

His bits have a rather odd colouring - I hope he's alright?

Are you being sarcastic, Micke? I hope not; Though of course his stuff isn't a patch on your own bizarre "oeuvre" :))
