How the Mighty Are Fallen (Part 2)

Omigod. I guess she won't be vogueing for a while after this. Poor Madge. It's been a bad week for celebrities, first Bobby McFerrin and now this - could it be a sign, I wonder?

Thank you Micke, I think all our thoughts are with Madge/Esther at this time. I'm hoping the bruising won't be too severe. I just feel so....powerless...

AS if it wasn't bad enough!...

August 18, 2005 -- MADONNA'S bone-breaking fall from a horse is causing the morbid editors at Blender to recalculate her life expectancy. The magazine's Web site routinely predicts when today's celebrities will croak using factors like medical history, genes, education and lifestyle, and had estimated Her Madgesty's expiration date at a formidable 86. But now that Madonna (above), 47, had her equine accident — which could happen again — the ghoulish editors are apparently busy trying to figure out whether to shave some years off that ambitious checkout time.

Hey Noodle, I always think of Madge as being like "She" in that H. Rider Haggard story, constantly renewing/reinventing herself in some kind of eternal flame (no Bangles reference intended.) I am worried that there's no mention of Bobby McFerrin, tho' I think he may be in the "5 items or fewer" checkout queue - ewwwwwww (ooo-ooo-ooo-ba-doo, ooo-ba-doo-da-doo-da-doo etc.)
