You know you're gay when...

...you give your cat its medication by wrapping the pills in prosciutto di San Daniele D.O.P. Poor thing is very poorly, with a nasty chest infection. I took her to the vet's yesterday, she had an x-ray that showed her lungs were all inflamed, so now we have enough pills to open a pharmacy and I have to ring him with daily updates. Send "get well soon" vibes her way, please!!

Thanks Micke and Sis!!. I thoughtthe ham trick had worked but then I found her pill again. So then I re-tried the vet's method, which sent her into a coughing panic attack and now she won't come near me, just sits quivering under the bed. Aaaaarrgh!

Oh... the poor elusive one! The vet's pill thing is the one where you pinch the sides of her mouth, tilt her head back and then pop the pill down the chute? That's always the one they seem to recommend and it's also the one that leads to kitty psychologists rubbing their hands with glee. I don't know what to say? Perhaps give her some champagne to go with her pill? I'd like that. Meow!

I see you're no stranger to that bogus technique, Nardac. And worse, because she's having trouble with her breathing anyway, the whole thing sends her into a panic attack. Someone at work recommended liver pate, so I shall try that later...

Oh dear, I hope I'm too late to send her get-well vibes. I mean that in a good way in that I hope she's much better already.

Thanks Rob, she's nearly 100% again. We have just one more vet's visit on Saturday for the all-clear then we can get back to normal!
