Completely Bonkers

The Observer has some pithy words of wisdom from the unlikely-named 60s "hearthrob" Engelbert Humperdinck who, at the ripe old age of 70, obviously feels he's still in with a chance with the laydeez. That's what starting the day with a brandy and benedictine (!!??) does for you. Must try it. If I remember correctly, his sister (who, surprisingly, wasn't called Humperdinck) used to be my Mum's hairdresser. See, I've always been around **showbiz** really...(Click on the pic to hear Englebert's greatest hit).

That man really is bonkers!!

Leicester's De Montfort Hall? That's where I saw Cesaria Evora - what a world away from Engelbert Humperdink!

You're right she was mum's hairdresser in Leicester and she was called Patsy-Anne!!!! Bit sad I remember that much detail!?! Ahhh the celebrity connections are indeed endless.......;-)

I know that you aren't talking about
Cesaria there but I doubt she has a brandy and benedictine before work. However, I was impressed by the way she flouted the non-smoking rules in the hall and smoked several cigarettes during her performance.

That's the style of a true diva, not a sleazeball. :-)
