- iPod Jeans (BBC): Swing your pants! I surely can't be the only person excited about this frankly HUGE development in the fashion world? Am worried that they could prove mildly disconcerting in "shuffle" mode, however.
- Gay Music label (Reuters): How gullible do they think we are? I'm as big a pouff as the next man but that doesn't mean I particularly want to listen to "lesbian, gay, transexual and transgendered artists". Unless they're HOT, of course. And we all know there's no such thing as gay music (says Rhino75, hiding his Hazell Dean megamix).
- France 1, Belgium 0 (BBC): Johnny Hallyday, the Methuselah of French rock, has decided he now wants to be Belgian. They'll be weeping in the streets of Paris tonight.
- Beckham Booked! (Evening Standard): I was worried that this might be a serious award until I got down to the bit where it mentioned Richard and Judy.

Finally got rid of Johnny. Thank god!
"Mickou, libre dans sa tĂȘte..." - admit it, you'll miss him. At least it'll add to the famous Belgians list :))
I'd love to see you in your shorts, rhino! ;-)
I wonder if Beckham will now be allowed to vote in the 'Worst Sex awards'? I must find out when those come out again.
hehe Nomad, only if they're Kylie-stylee gold hotpants!! I love those "Worst Sex" awards too - there's normally at least one of my bedside reads up for a prize...
I've been trying to wrack my brains about a book I was reminded about when I read your Vienna post. It was published in German (or was it Czech?) about 50 years ago but only translated into English in the last five years. Marvellous book about one night in which a man is dying and reflecting on his life. Not quite sure why I was reminded of it...must do a bit of googling and see if I can find it.
That sounds rather interesting Nomad - am always on the lookout for "new" (to me) authors, keep me posted!
The Ipod pants should come with some kind of energy creation thing-a-ma-jig. So that by walking, you create you own power!
How cool would that be? I should copyright that. Then again I don't want to be liable for those shocked to death when caught in a rainstorm.
HAve not been able to find the book but will look again. In the meantime, have you ever read anything by Sybille Bedford? Specifically 'Jigsaw'? She brought out a new book last year that I must read. Such a fascinating life that doesn't quite cover the Klimt period as she is about 90 now so would not have been alive then.
Have just Googled her, never come across her work before, but looks like it might be right up my street!! I'm adding her to the list of "reading good intentions".
Rob, I think we could maybe get around the problem by insisting on rubber pants (mmmm, nice!) That way, people would be properly insulated against electric shocks. Fantastic!! Whoever said two heads were better than one??
How about Vinyl, or Leather Instead? That way not only are they safe, but they are stylish at the same time! :)
How fabulous is that!
